First "Public Transport 2009" exhibition was successfully held in Moscow on 11-13 March 2009. Nowadays the obsolete rolling stock, infrastructure, control, security and communications systems of RF cities public transport face a great demand in implementation of new technologies and up-to-date products. The exhibition gathered together
thousands of managers and specialist from metro, light metro, tram, trolleybus, public and commercial bus operators, government authorities, research institutes from over Russia and CIS states.
The forum is supported by federal and local government authorities, professional associations, largest public transport operators.
The aims of "Public Transport" exhibition are:
- To suggest CIS city metros, city public transport up-to-date rolling stock, information about contemporary solutions in the field of transport planning and regulation, security, control, communication, navigation and payment systems.
- To show prospective technologies and experience in developing modern public transport systems.
- To create a basic fairground for communication of various level specialists from more then 1000 enterprises and organizations.
